This project investigated the behaviours of people waiting within three moments in the BMA
House in Bloomsbury, as well as visualising sound heard there and analysing materiality and texture.
These observations led to a “bricolage” model highlighting the dualities between the interior and exterior spaces.
The BMA House was once the site of Charles Dickens’ house where he wrote A Tale of Two Cities. A key theme of this book is duality, which led to observations of the site that aimed to find the differences and similarities between the interior and exterior spaces. These models and drawings are the accumulation and translation of these observations.
